'Dexter' Star, Jaime Murray, Is Afraid Of Knives

Jaime Murray, Star of 'Dexter', Says No To Plastic Surgery
The latest star to join Meryl Streep's public assault on cosmetic surgery in Hollywood, according to UK newspaper The Daily Mail, is Dexter star, Jaime Murray. Jaime's daughter of British star Billy Murray, not to be confused with the American comedic and character actor, Bill Murray.

"I'll never have plastic surgery," vows 31 year-old Murray. "Oh no! I think that as an actor you should retain your individuality, so I don't think it's a good look. I'm happy with who I am." she tells the newspaper.

Daily Mail implies in the short article that the pressure to have cosmetic surgery exists more strongly in Hollywood than across the pond, but frequent readers of this blog know that while the American cosmetic surgery market is wanning, the British market is booming.

If you ask me, this is just another actress picking up on a popular trend. My bet is that Jaime will have a procedure (I'd gamble on a nose job) and then, either deny it outright or claim she had to do it for medical reasons - a deviated septum, trouble breathing, etc.

At any rate, how long do you think it will be before the other plastic sites are declaring her a liar?

See our post on the Botox-bashing trend for more.

Maybe it's typical in Britain to deny even obvious plastic surgery on teh rationale that it's nobody's business, but Marray has so obviously ALREADY had plastic surgery...

Her 'duck bill' lips are so full of collagen or restylane that she can't say some words correctly so she has to do a sort of snarl. It's hard to watch her without wanting to yell "Cut the lip poofing for Christsake!!!" The rhinplasty is as obvious as, well as the nose on her face....
and it's looks like something odd with her eyelids, too,but maybe that's just an overzealous Botox session.

P.S. I want to add to the above that she is obviously also a very talented actor - it's too bad she felt the need to do teh "starlet nose job/lip job" thing.

So true, she's annoying to watch as she can't move her face properly and it's even more annoying that she denies it!

Jamie is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen on TV.

Well, anonymous, then probably she is also the first woman you've ever seen on TV. Or you need some new contacts. Or you've only just bought your first ever television.
